Childhood Disintegratives Disorder (aka Heller's Syndrome)

Is a condition in which children develop normally through age 3 or 4. Then, over a few months, children lose language, motor, social, and other skills that they already learned. This loss of developmental skills may occur in a very short period of time, after the onset of the disorder. This loss may be days,r weeks, or even a longer time period, such as months. Similar to autism, Childhood Disintegrative Disorder is part of the spectrum of Autism Disorders.
